Assistive Technology Evaluation & Training

A RESNA certified professional is qualified to assess the client’s needs in terms of assistive technology devices and/or services. The device and/or service will assist the client in achieving greater independence and self-sufficiency in daily life, school and/or employment.

The use of appropriate assistive technology devices can also improve overall safety. Instructional sessions will provide the client with new information on practical uses of the device(s) and opportunities to learn and rehearse the device in the structured session until independent carryover and mastery is achieved.
